A credit card is a useful tool, when managed judiciously but a lurking danger if you mismanage it.
What would it take for a credit card company to cancel your credit card for reasons other than inactivity?
In general how many late fees would you need to rack up or how long would you need to go without making a payment before a credit card company would cancel your card?
Answer
They can terminate your card for any violations of terms of service that you sign when you get the card. There are many including fraud, non-payment, over the limit violations and a host of others. Most card companies will cancel or put your card on hold if you don't pay within 45-60 days or if your credit score suffers a material downgrade.
