How do I get a debit card if my bank wont issue me one?
I need a debit card, but I have a local Bank called Bay Port Credit Union. Well, I want a debit card, and they wont let me have one, how do I still get one? I am A minor, i'm 13. but I know that Visa has the student ones or whatever. but how can I still get a debit card? no a prepaid one. but one that... well can I get one that's like not from my bank but issued for Visa or something? can I like link them? And if so where? 10 points best answer.

Actually you do not need to be an adult to get a debit card, nor do you need a chequing account. I have only a savings account with my bank and I have a debit card. My daughter has had her debit card since she was 12 when she got her first job and we went and opened her a bank account.
Now I don't know how different credit unions are as apposed to banks, because I refuse to deal with a credit union, but if a credit union told me I cannot access my own money other than in branch, I would tell them to cram their services up their rear end! I can see them not giving you a chequing account, because THAT you have to be legal age in your area to get, usually 18.
